Arrive at the south end of Deer Creek Reservoir, at the dam along the old Highway 189, pull in parking lot and park and pick up bib between 5:15 - 5:45 am.

If you are just going to make this a duo event-bike and run-you must still be at the dam between 5:15 and 5:45am to Parkand then ride your bike to the swim area for Transition 1.
The swim will take place in Deer Creek Reservoir, past the buoys, north-east of the dam. You will need to ride your mountain bike to the swim area (there is a trail to follow). Make sure you have all your equipment (swimming attire, mountain bike, helmet, biking shoes, and running shoes) with you when you arrive at the swim area. You may put your equipment at Transition 1.

Swim will begin close to 6:00 am.? If you all are on time Cool Start

After swim, Get out of water put on bike helmet(must where helmet), change at T1. Ride your mountain bike on a nice hard packed trail that follows the north-western shoreline of the reservoir to Transition 2 at the Chalet in Soldier Hollow. A mountain bike is required w/helmet.

At T2, drop your bike and change into your running shoes (which you will already have with you unless you've made prior arrangements to have your running shoes at the Chalet).
Run for 1.5 miles, turn around, and run back to Chalet for finish. T2 transition Run, is where you parked bike..

After all the fun, you'll have to get back to your car:
· You may ride your bike back to the parking area, or
· ask for a ride or
· Make arrangement to have your car or a ride at Soldier Hollow.
