20 Mile Training Run (4th) Start At: Site of Olympic X-ski Center
also: With:
20mile Provo 4 person team-Relay"Party"
-----Sept. 6th

These trail runs are fully paved. The premier running event to train for on the Wasatch front. You are running down the most beautiful river road (3 miles) down South Fork Canyon with the most spectacular view of Mt.Timpanogos, then running down a fully paved river trail in a tunnel of trees on a cool morning. Its an easy down hill. You start at 6,000 ft. and gradually work your way down to 4700 ft., to a food feast at the end with all kinds of fruit, food and drinks. Come and have the greatest experience running with friends that look forward to what is a great run this year May 17th, June 14, August 9th, Sept 6th respectively. Register early

The course was hypnotically gorgeous

Dear Crew of the Provo Half Marathon:
Thanks for a wonderful morning. Things were so well organized!
The weather and route couldn't have been better - and the pancakes (and special syrup) were well worth the run itself! It was all so runner friendly, too.
No problem when we had a registration change - t-shirts given out -
buses that just loaded and went - clean toilets at the start ... It couldn't have been better. We appreciate your efforts. This was my first 1/2 marathon and I hope not my last. We're already recruiting for next year. Thanks again and keep up the
good work!!!!
Ted and JaNae

TRY THE MARATHON OR HALF MARATHON as a goal -make it realistic and pick the appropriate schedules. See any of my books for help in setting up your training schedule! WALK BREAKS can help you increase your mileage, injury-free. Walk breaks help beginners to enjoy running without many, if any, aches and pains. These one minute walks, after 2-4 min of running, erase fatigue, reduce the chance of injury, speed recovery, and allow you to enjoy the run. (Jeff Galloway)

Hello, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the 1/2 marathon. This was my first time doing a 1/2. The scenery was breathtaking, (which made the mile markers go by faster). Thank you for being so well organized and making my run the best. I had a wonderful time, and look forward to returning for the 20 mile training run. This is one of those runs I won't forget. Thanks again, Brandy
Terrific event! Thank you. The course was hypnotically gorgeous. Forget making good time, relax and enjoy this special event is my own recommendation. Since I was recovering from an injury, I had little choice but was determined not to miss this run. This event deserves a high rank among the nation's best runs. No runs like this in Florida where I had been running until this year. I am never going back to Florida.

I wanted to say thanks for opportunity to participate in one of the best Half Marathons I have run. It was science, extremely well organized and well thought out. Great job to all involved I look forward to next year.

Hi Guys, Thank you for what was the best organized race that I have participated in since moving here last year. I plan to make this an annual one for me. Please send me info again for next year. My E-mail address will be the same.
Thanks again ! Robert Ball
Dear Provo River 1/2 marathon, Thank you for all your hard work this year to make this run absolutely a joy for me and many others. I loved it. This was my first year because in the past I have not been able to get in. It works great into my training program for St George marathon. I would appreciate it if I could be considered to run this race again next year. Please email me at the appropriate time: juno.com Thank you and keep up the great work............and the great running.
Hillary Anderson Thanks for a beautiful and fun run.
